The Memorial Karate-Do Seminar and Exchange Demonstration 2014 for Soke Takayoshi Nagamine in Okinawa
Dear WMKA members, It has been a year and a half since the passing away of Soke Takayoshi Nagamine last year. No one or anything can fill his vacancy and we are still in mourning for his loss. But we have to move forward to admire his honor and legacy.

First, we want to thank for your support and cooperation in remaining and working together for the present and the future of the WMKA. As you all know, the WMKA Dojo Owner License is not a permanent license. You must renew it every year based on the Dojo Owner Agreement. If you don’t renew it, you will lose your license.

It has been more than one year since the passing away of Soke Takayoshi Nagamine on April 25, 2012. We know you all miss Soke Takayoshi Nagamine together with his vigorous loud voice and his childlike smile. Nobody and nothing can fill his vacancy. Althought we have to mourn for Soke Takayoshi Nagamine for many more years we must continue to work hard and spread his legacy around the world without him. Soke might say “Hi guys- why are you so quiet ? Are you sleeping ? Wake up and move on forwards !” I think you have all done a great job and it would have made Soke very happy. This is because all previous dojoowners except two (one left and the other we were unable to contact due a mailing address change) remain inWMKA. We also have five new dojo owners of which four are current WMKA members and one is a new member. I think Soke would say in his supernatural spiritual body: “ Thank you everybody. I am glad you didn’t forget me. Show me you can do without me !”. Since you can’t hear from Soke, nor have much news from Okinawa, I want to post miscellaneous news from Okinawa once in a while as the overseas manager. “It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing away of former President of WMKA Mr. Yasuharu Makishi, Hanshi 10th Dan on May 31,2013” He was a long time president of WMKA under Soke Takayoshi Nagamine and worked hard until Soke’s Passing away last year. He was 73-years old, born on November 24, 1939 and passed away on May 31,2013. His funeral service will be conducted on June 2nd, tomorrow from 11:00 am in Naha city. The chief mourner will be Mrs, Aiko Makishi.

It is close to one year since the passing away of Soke Takayoshi Nagamine on April 25, 2012. It caused great shock and sorrow for all members around the world.
